I have Logan and Max on Trifexis, which handles worms and fleas but not ticks. Plan was to keep them on preventic collars for ticks. But, Logan develops a neck rash from the preventic collar. Max is fine with it. So, what other tick preventative could I use for Logan? I'd like to stick with the T. Did anyone see the recent news report on Trifexis that has killed more than 700 dogs. Had any one heard if this is a true story or a fake. I'm concern because I just put my dog on this. After seeing this I'm thinking about going back to heartgard or triheart. Any thoughts? Trifexis and Frontline are safe to use together, as they work by completely different mechanisms, so you're not really 'overlapping' on anything. However, since you'd be doubling up on the flea control, have you considered using Trifexis with a Preventic collar instead of Frontline? Has anyone else had problems with Trifexis?
